Reporting Fraudulent Activity

If you find yourself an online fraud victim, please know we are here to assist you promptly and effectively. To report such incidents, you have several options:

  • Contact the National Cyber Crime portal at cybercrime.gov.in.
  • Reach out to the national helpline by dialing 1930.
  • Connect with our dedicated CSFB helpline at 1800 120 1600

To safeguard your Credit or Debit Card from further unauthorized transactions and to block it if necessary, you can take the following steps:

  • Utilize Internet Banking.
  • Get in touch with our Customer Care.

Here are the steps to block your Debit or Credit Card:

To block your Debit Card:
  • Go to the 'Customer Services' Tab and then click on 'Service Requests.'
  • Under 'Bank Accounts,' select 'More.'
  • Choose 'Block Debit / ATM Card' under 'ATM/ Debit Card Related.'
  • Select your debit card, indicate the reason, and click 'Submit' to block the card.
To block your Credit Card:
  • Go to the 'Customer Services' Tab and then click on 'Service Requests.'
  • Under 'Credit Card,' select 'More.'
  • Under 'Credit Card Dispatch Related,' choose 'Block Credit Card.'
  • Select your credit card and click 'Submit' to block the card

These steps will help you promptly block your Debit or Credit Card for security reasons.

For prepaid cards:

If you need to deactivate your prepaid card, please get in touch with our Customer Care team at 1800 120 1600 OR Click here to access the CSFB Prepaid Card self-care portal. To establish a new User ID or Password, click on New User Sign Up.

Report Unauthorised Transactions not done by you:

If you notice any transactions on your account that you didn't authorize, please follow these steps:

  • Call our Customer Care number: 1800 120 1600
  • Visit our website and fill in the required information under the "Complaint - Unauthorized Electronic Transactions" section. We'll get back to you promptly. For more details, visit customerrelations@capitalbank.co.in
  • Alternatively, you can report fraudulent transactions by selecting the option available within CSFB NetBanking's transaction history.

To report unauthorized transactions on your prepaid card, please ensure you have the following information handy:

  • Prepaid Card number
  • Type of transaction (e.g., online, purchase, ATM)
  • Date of the transaction
  • Transaction amount

Please review the instructions below before proceeding:

To report unauthorized Internet Banking, Credit, Debit, and Prepaid Card transactions that were not authorized by you, please contact our Customer Care at 1800 120 1600

To report unauthorized transactions on Internet Banking, provide the following details:

  • Customer ID
  • Account number
  • Transaction date
  • Transaction amount
  • Type of transaction (e.g., NEFT, RTGS)

To report unauthorized Debit Card or ATM Card transactions, provide the following details:

  • Debit Card or ATM Card number
  • Type of transaction (e.g., online, in-store, local grocer, cash withdrawal, etc.)
  • Date of the transaction
  • Transaction amount

To report unauthorized Credit Card transactions, provide the following details:

  • Credit card number
  • Type of transaction (e.g., online, in-store, local grocer, etc.)
  • Date of the transaction
  • Transaction amount

To report unauthorized transactions on your Prepaid Card, provide the following details:

  • Prepaid Card number
  • Type of transaction (e.g., online, purchase, ATM)
  • Date of the transaction
  • Transaction amount

To report unauthorized PayLater transactions that were not initiated by you, please contact our Customer Care at 1800 120 1600 and provide the following details:

  • Transaction Reference Number
  • PayLater account number
  • Transaction date
  • Transaction amount.

Make sure to promptly report any unauthorized transactions. The longer you wait to inform the bank, the greater the risk of potential losses for both you and the bank.
